On the first of two trips to Joe Moakley Park in Boston this season, the mens team faced off versus Old Gold in a week 3 matchup. Providence came out scoring early as Veteran Prop Gerry D’Arezzo dotted down the first of his two tries on the day. Old Gold answered straight back with a scoop and score tying the game up at 7-7 less than 5 minutes into the match. From there on out Providence controlled much of the possession and all scoring line as they went on to score 40 unanswered points through a lot of excellent back play, led by Captain Keith Raum who had two tries of his own as well as hitting all but one of the providence conversions.
It was a great game for the boys and a good preparation for a tough Maccabi team that will be visiting Pawtucket this upcoming weekend.
