Local Players

Providence Rugby is always looking for new players. Whether you have been playing sports since you were 5, or you want to try something new you are welcome to join. We have had players from over 30 colleges come and play for the team throughout the years.

Foreign Players

Providence has sponsored foreign players from Ireland, Australia, South Africa, and Argentina over the last couple of years. When you come over to play for us, living accommodations, vehicle for transportation, and employment are taken care of. The city of Providence is a growing city, with plenty of attractions for you to visit.

College Players

For the past 2 years, Providence has sponsored one college player to travel over to Ireland for 4 months to play for a local team. They are given a place to live, a team to practice and play for and employment for the 4 months. After that time the player is required to play for the Providence team for 3 seasons. It is an excellent learning experience after college not just for rugby, but for a different culture.
